Nigeria's Government and UNDP Launch Entrepreneurship Centre

The Federal Government, the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP), and the Republic of Korea reaffirmed their commitment to enhancing entrepreneurship and small business development in Nigeria during the groundbreaking ceremony for the Abuja Centre for Entrepreneurship (ACE) in Abuja. Dr Aliyu Modibo represented Vice President Senator Kashim Shettima, emphasizing the need for development initiatives to impact communities directly.

He stated the government's dedication to strengthening the MSME ecosystem through training and infrastructure access. Senator Atiku Abubakar Bagudu, Minister of Budget and National Planning, presided over the ceremony, highlighting the initiative's role in expanding entrepreneurship opportunities.

UNDP Resident Representative Ms Elsie Attafuah described the event as a significant milestone, focusing on investing in young Nigerians and their economic future. The ceremony included remarks from various stakeholders, including Mr Charles Odi, Director-General of SMEDAN, who noted the centre's role in providing training and business development support.
