AEDC Restructures into Holding Company, Launches Niger and Kogi Subsidiaries

AEDC has transformed into a holding company to adapt to Nigeria's changing electricity regulatory environment. The company unveiled two new subsidiaries, Niger Electricity Distribution Company and Kogi Electricity Distribution Company, to operate under state electricity regulatory commissions.

New leadership appointments have been made for the subsidiaries. The restructuring aims to improve operational efficiency, respond to regulatory changes, and support the development of Nigeria's energy sector.

AEDC plans to extend the holding company model to Nasarawa State soon.
