Abure reacts to claims INEC no longer recognises him as LP national chairman

Julius Abure, the Factional National Chairman of the Labour Party (LP), responded to claims that the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) no longer recognizes him as the party leader. Abure accused Senator Nenadi's faction of deliberately misinterpreting a recent court ruling to spread false information.

He emphasized that the LP remains intact and cautioned INEC against attempts to undermine the party's participation in future elections. Abure clarified that the Supreme Court never nullified his chairmanship and that the issue of leadership is an internal party matter.

He criticized Nenadi's faction for celebrating prematurely and misleading the public. Abure urged party members to remain vigilant and peaceful in the face of provocation, expressing confidence that the LP will emerge stronger from the crisis.
