Access Holdings, Coronation Group Celebrate Nigerian Art

Access Holdings and Coronation Group organized a private reception at Tate Modern in London to celebrate Nigerian modern art, running from October 10, 2025, to May 8, 2026. The exhibition showcased nearly 300 works by 50 Nigerian artists, spanning five decades and including paintings, sculptures, textiles, and ceramics.

It aimed to provide fresh perspectives on the political, social, and cultural forces shaping modern African expression. The exhibit attracted 180,000 visitors and received extensive media coverage, engaging millions worldwide through educational programs and scholarly discourse.

Aigboj Aig Imoukhued, Chairman of Access Holdings and Coronation Group, highlighted the exhibition's impact on young people and its diplomatic significance. The event also featured a private tour attended by President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, reinforcing the role of culture in strengthening national identity and global engagement.

Karin Hinsbo, Interim Director of Tate Modern, emphasized the importance of partnerships in making the exhibition a success, which included significant public programming and the inclusion of historical artworks.
