Accord Party Rejects Endorsement of Alex Otti for 2027

The Accord Party has officially denied endorsing Alex Otti for the 2027 Abia governorship election, asserting that the endorsement is null and void. The party's statement, signed by spokesperson Joseph Omorogb, clarified that the Abia State chapter does not support Otti's re-election bid.

The party accused Professor Christoph Imumolen, a member who was expelled in 2024 for anti-party activities, of misrepresenting the party's leadership and misleading the public. Accord Party emphasized that Otti should be aware of the authentic leadership recognized by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC).

The statement further urged Nigerians to disregard any purported endorsements of Otti, describing them as attempts to create discord within the party ahead of the upcoming elections. Accord Party, under the leadership of Barrister Maxwel Mgbuden, maintains its commitment to unity and integrity, advising journalists to verify the party's recognized leadership to prevent public misinformation.
