Accord Party Backs Otti for 2027 Abia Governorship Election

The Accord Party has officially declared its support for Governor Alex Otti in the upcoming 2027 governorship election in Abia State, choosing not to present a candidate for the race. This decision was announced on Wednesday during a visit to Otti's home in Isialangwa South Local Government Area by the party's national chairman, Mukhtar Abdullah Djungo.

Djungo stated that the party's executive members recognized Otti's achievements in governance, which have earned him their support. He emphasized that the Accord Party will not field a candidate against Otti in the 2027 elections, acknowledging the governor's performance and the positive impact of his administration on the welfare and security of Abia residents.

Otti expressed gratitude for the support from the Accord Party's national leadership, affirming a commitment to continue working for the people of Abia State.
