Accord Party Names Okewol Olaniyi as Ogun Governorship Candidate

The Accord Party has officially announced Okewol Olaniyi as its governorship candidate for the upcoming 2027 elections in Ogun State. This announcement was made by the party chairman, Michael Ok, following a primary election held at the party's secretariat in Abeokuta on Tuesday.

The primary was conducted to adopt a consensus arrangement to avoid conflicts and strengthen unity within the party. Alongside Olaniyi, several candidates for the state assembly were also declared, including Salami Monsuru for Ado Odo Ota 2, Jinadu Oyeniyi for Sagamu 1, and Abulraheem Lateefat for Abeokuta North.

Olaniyi urged all candidates to focus on promoting the party's manifesto and ensuring the development of Ogun State. He expressed appreciation to the party leadership and pledged to work towards improving governance in the state, aiming for a significant overhaul of the current political status quo.
