Achraf Hakimi to Stand Trial for Rape Allegation

Achraf Hakimi, a 27-year-old Moroccan international footballer currently playing for Paris Saint-Germain, is scheduled to face trial regarding a rape allegation made against him by a 24-year-old woman. The complaint was filed in February 2023 after the woman visited Hakimi's residence in Boulogne-Billancourt, near Paris.

Following the complaint, the Public Prosecutor's Office in Nanterre initiated a preliminary investigation in March 2023. A formal indictment was issued later in August 2025, leading to the case being referred to a criminal court.

A judicial source confirmed that the investigation phase has concluded, and a trial will be held, although no specific date has been set yet. Hakimi has publicly denied the allegations, asserting his intention to contest the case in court.

Despite the ongoing legal proceedings, he remains part of PSG's squad for the UEFA Champions League knockout rounds.
