Achraf Hakimi Prepares for Trial Over Rape Allegations

Achraf Hakimi, a 27-year-old Moroccan footballer currently playing for Paris Saint-Germain (PSG), is set to face a trial regarding allegations of rape. The case originates from accusations made by a woman who claimed she was assaulted in Paris when she was 24 years old.

Hakimi has publicly denied the allegations and expressed his intention to prove his innocence through the trial process. He stated that the accusations are unfounded and unfair, emphasizing that he will allow the truth to emerge publicly.

The preliminary investigation was initiated in March 2023 by the Public Prosecutor's Office of Nanterre. However, the specific date for the trial has not been disclosed by the prosecutor's office.

Hakimi, who joined PSG in the summer of 2021 and has made 194 appearances for the club, won the UEFA Champions League title last season.
