ACPN Urges FG to Recognize Community Pharmacies as PHC Centers for Better Healthcare

The Association of Community Pharmacists of Nigeria (ACPN) is urging the Federal Government to recognize community pharmacies as Primary Health Care (PHC) centers nationwide. During a press briefing at the association's national secretariat, the National Chairman, Ambrose Ezeh, emphasized the crucial role pharmacists play in healthcare delivery.

Ezeh highlighted pharmacists' contributions to public health, including vaccination campaigns, health screenings, disease prevention, and personalized care plans. As part of their initiatives, ACPN launched a program called "Pharmacy Forward Performance." This move aims to improve patient outcomes through collaborative care plans and telepharmacy services.

The recognition of pharmacists' roles in developing personalized care plans is essential for enhancing healthcare in Nigeria.
