Adamawa Assembly Screens Commissioner Nominees on March 9

On March 9, 2026, the Adamawa State House of Assembly conducted a screening for three commissioner nominees as announced by Jame Iliya via a Facebook post. The nominees are Sali Idri from Maiha LGA, Muham Suleiman from Mubi North LGA, and Chubado Moham from Jada LGA.

Additionally, Adamu Atiku Abubakar, the first son of former Vice President Atiku Abubakar, formally resigned from his commission role in energy development for Adamawa State. His resignation letter, dated March 2, 2026, expressed gratitude to Governor Fintiri for the opportunity to serve over two terms.
