Adamawa Assembly Confirms New Commissioner-Nominees

The Adamawa State House of Assembly confirmed the appointment of three commissioner-nominees on Tuesday, following a nomination submitted by Governor Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri. This includes the replacement for Adamu Atiku, the son of former Vice President Atiku Abubakar, who resigned from his position in the cabinet due to a defection from the People's Democratic Party to the All Progressives Congress.

The nominees, Sali Idri from Maiha LGA, Muham Suleiman from Mubi North LGA, and Chubado Moham from Jada LGA, were screened and confirmed during a session presided over by Speaker Bathiya Weslei. The Speaker emphasized the importance of ensuring that nominees are credible and capable of delivering quality service to the people of Adamawa State.

Governor Fintiri's administration aims to distinguish itself from past governments by focusing on practical ground projects that directly benefit the populace. The governor also extended his service for an additional year, with a further six-month extension, demonstrating confidence in his leadership.
