The Adamawa State Government has debunked rumors circulating about the closure of schools in the state due to prevailing security challenges. Governor Ahmadu Fintiri's Chief Press Secretary, Humwashi Wonosik, clarified that there is no directive to shut down schools and urged the public to disregard such misinformation.

While the government had previously suspended boarding schools to prevent abductions, day schools continue regular academic activities. The statement aims to reassure the public and maintain educational continuity in the state.
