ADC Slams Tinubu Over Insecurity Response, Calls for Accountability

The African Democratic Congress (ADC) criticized Bola Ahmed Tinubu for prioritizing political appearances over addressing insecurity in Nigeria. The ADC spokesperson, Bolaji Abdullahi, accused Tinubu and the President of insensitivity towards the growing insecurity, particularly in Kwara State, where armed bandits have besieged nine Local Government Areas.

Abdullahi highlighted incidents of violence, including killings, abductions, and ransom demands. The ADC called for accountability from the presidency and emphasized the need for a concrete plan to support affected communities.

The association also condemned the profiling of Fulani communities as perpetrators without addressing the root causes of banditry and displacement.
