ADC Faction Rejects Tambuwal's Membership in Sokoto

The faction of the African Democratic Congress (ADC) in Sokoto State has officially rejected the membership of former governor Aminu Tambuwal. Umar Faruk, the faction's state chairman, explained that Tambuwal did not adhere to the required processes for joining the party, which necessitates registration at the ward level.

The ADC leadership stated that they had not received any official notice regarding Tambuwal's membership and that the local party officials were unaware of any developments concerning his joining. The statement released on Thursday highlighted that the party's constitution clearly stipulates that membership cannot be arranged privately by individuals outside the established ward structure.

It was reiterated that any new member must go through the ward chairman to complete the necessary requirements for acceptance into the party.
