Yul Edochie Declares ADC Coalition Efforts 'Dead on Arrival'

Yul Edochie, a Nollywood actor and politician, publicly criticized Peter Obi, the former governor of Anambra State and Labour Party's presidential candidate for the 2023 general elections. Edochie described Obi's political influence as insufficient, stating that Obi cannot become Nigeria's president.

He referred to the ongoing coalition discussions involving the ADC as "dead on arrival," labeling the efforts a total waste of time. Edochie argued that Obi's participation in political coalitions tends to weaken alliances rather than strengthen them.

He made these remarks in a post shared on his official X account on Tuesday, downplaying Obi's political strength and suggesting that he may be aware of the truth but chooses to ignore it. Obi, who has emerged as a significant third force in Nigerian politics, has been actively involved in coalition discussions aimed at uniting opposition forces ahead of the 2027 elections, despite concerns about internal divisions within the opposition.
