Yul Edochie Claims Peter Obi Cannot Be President Now

Yul Edochie, a Nollywood actor and politician, declared that Peter Obi, the former presidential candidate of the Labour Party, cannot become President of Nigeria at this time. Edochie made this assertion in a post shared on his official social media account on Tuesday, dismissing Obi's political strength and recent engagements with the opposition coalition ahead of the 2027 general elections.

He referred to Obi's involvement with the African Democratic Congress (ADC) as a "total waste of time," indicating that the party is ineffective. Edochie, known for his support of President Bola Tinubu, further suggested that Obi's political influence is misunderstood and that his presence in coalition efforts may weaken rather than strengthen the platform.

Obi, who served as the Governor of Anambra State and emerged as a significant third force in the 2023 elections, has been vocal on national political issues. He has been involved in discussions with opposition figures, including the ADC, to form a coalition aimed at unseating President Tinubu.
