ADC Demands Action After Attack on Sokoto Candidate

The ADC Presidential Campaign Council (ADC-PCC) condemned an attack on its Sokoto State governorship candidate, Alhaji Munir Dan Iya, allegedly by operatives of the Sokoto Marshals. The attack occurred along Airport Road, Sokoto, as Dan Iya returned from the airport with Senator Aminu Waziri Tambuwal.
Several vehicles in Dan Iya's convoy were vandalized. Mr Kola Ologbondiyan, ADC-PCC Director of Media and Publicity, stated that operatives of the Sokoto Marshals have been harassing motorists and targeting vehicles with ADC symbols.
Additionally, two Department of State Services personnel attached to Dan Iya were reportedly abducted. Dan Iya reported the incident to the Sokoto State Commissioner of Police.
Ologbondiyan described the actions of the Sokoto Marshals as a dangerous descent into state-sponsored thuggery and a violation of democratic principles. He emphasized that the ADC will no longer tolerate such attacks on its members and political structures.
