Atiku Abubakar Leads ADC Primaries Amid Rejections

In the ADC presidential primaries, Atiku Abubakar emerged as the frontrunner, securing substantial votes across various states, including 65,523 in Kebbi, 58,566 in Anambra, and 52,222 in Imo. His main competitors, Rotimi Amaechi and Hayatu-Deen, received significantly fewer votes, with Amaechi obtaining 5,931 in Kebbi and 17,085 in Anambra, while Hayatu-Deen garnered 454 and 7,861 respectively.

Both Amaechi and Hayatu-Deen rejected the results, citing allegations of widespread voter disenfranchisement and irregularities throughout the primary process. Amaechi stated that the process did not reflect the values of the ADC, while Hayatu-Deen announced a boycott of the results, expressing concerns over the integrity of the election process.

The ADC's leadership, including Bolaji Abdullahi, is expected to address these issues as they move forward.
