Adeleke Praises Osogbo Community During Osun-Osogbo Festival

The Osun-Osogbo Festival, celebrated annually in August at the Grove, took place with over 500,000 participants from around the world. Osun State Governor, Senator Ademola Adeleke, commended Oba Jimoh Olanipekun Oyetunji, Larooye II, Ataoja of Osogbo, and the people of Osogbo for their role in sustaining this significant cultural event.

He described the festival as a priceless cultural and spiritual heritage that reflects the bond between the people of Osogbo and the sacred River Osun. The festival, recognized as one of Africa’s foremost traditional celebrations, showcases centuries of Yoruba civilization through sacred processions, traditional rites, and cultural displays.

Governor Adeleke expressed his administration's commitment to preserving Osun's cultural heritage and supporting initiatives that promote tourism and economic opportunities. He extended his congratulations to the Ataoja of Osogbo and the community, wishing for the blessings of Osun to bring peace and prosperity to the state.
