Adeleke, Oyebamiji Unveil Plans for Osun Tourism Boost

On Saturday, Osun State Governor Ademola Adeleke and Bola Oyebamiji, his main challenger in the August 15 governorship election, presented their plans for boosting the culture and tourism sector in Osun State. Speaking at the 79th birthday celebration of Ifayemi Elebibon, a prominent Ifa priest and cultural icon, both leaders emphasized the importance of investing in tourist sites to attract global visitors and increase government revenue.

Governor Adeleke, represented by Dr Biyi Odunlade, the State Commissioner for Political Affairs and Intergovernmental Relations, praised Elebubon as an "icon and pride of the state" and highlighted the potential of culture and tourism to generate income and promote Yoruba heritage. Amitolu Shittu, representing Oyebamiji, acknowledged Elebubon’s contributions and outlined plans to enhance the sector by making tourist sites more appealing and creating job opportunities.

The event was attended by various traditional rulers, Nollywood actors, and culture promoters.
