Adeyinka shines as best gross champion at LGAN western zone open

Grace Adeyinka from Ekiti Golf Club was crowned the best gross champion at the 10th Western Zone Open Golf Championship held at Crosscreek Golf Club in Ilado, Akure. Adeyinka scored a gross of 270 over three days, outplaying 45 lady golfers in the handicap category.

She expressed joy at her victory, despite the challenging course, and her pride in her performance. The tournament, organized by the Ladies Golf Association of Nigeria (LGAN) Western Zone, attracted 130 female and 70 male golfers from clubs across the country.

Vice President of the zone, Evelyn Balogun, praised the golfers' resilience in tough weather conditions and highlighted the values of discipline and camaraderie in the event. LGAN President Evelyn Oyome and Crosscreek Golf Club Captain Isaac Shedowo also commended Adeyinka for her fair play and leadership in promoting women's golf.
