Morocco Challenges AFCON 2025 Final Outcome Against Senegal

Morocco's Royal Moroccan Football Federation (FRMF) has officially challenged the outcome of the AFCON 2025 final against Senegal, alleging disruptions and unfair advantages during the match. The game ended in controversy with Senegal securing a 1-0 victory in extra time.

The FRMF claims that a lengthy VAR review and a missed penalty by Morocco's Brahim Díaz, after a delay caused by Senegal's protest, impacted the match's flow and disadvantaged the host nation. FIFA President Gianni Infantino condemned the walk-off and stated that abandoning the pitch has no place in football.
