Afenifere reacts to report about endorsing ADC coalition

Afenifere has refuted reports claiming that it endorsed a coalition movement formed by a political party in Nigeria. The organization clarified that it did not send any delegation to former President Olusegun Obasanjo's residence in Abeokuta over the weekend, where the endorsement was supposedly made.

Afenifere's national publicity secretary, Jare Ajayi, stated that they had not endorsed any political party or coalition at this time. The reports indicated that the coalition movement had adopted the African Democratic Congress platform for the 2023 general election.

Afenifere emphasized that they are not politically partisan and do not belong to any political party. The organization remains committed to supporting the Federal Government's efforts to restore and reposition the country for the benefit of Nigerians.

Ajayi concluded that discussions about forming coalitions are unnecessary distractions that Afenifere cannot afford.
