Afreximbank and MDGIF Partner to Boost Nigeria's Gas Infrastructure

Afreximbank and the Midstream Downstream Gas Infrastructure Fund (MDGIF) signed a $500 million Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to enhance Nigeria's gas infrastructure development. The deal, inked at the IATF2025, focuses on promoting and improving gas infrastructure in Nigeria through a private delivery model.

The collaboration aims to mobilize $500 million over a period to support midstream and downstream gas projects in Nigeria. Key areas of focus include identifying and prioritizing eligible projects to modernize and expand the gas sector.

The MoU aligns with Afreximbank and MDGIF's strategic priorities to accelerate gas sector growth in Nigeria.
