Afreximbank and MDGIF Partner to Mobilize $500M for Nigerian Gas Projects

Afreximbank and MDGIF signed a pact at the IATF 2025 to mobilize $500 million for gas projects in Nigeria. The agreement aims to accelerate midstream and downstream gas projects, reduce flaring, and drive industrialization in line with President Bola Tinubu's economic agenda.

The MoU includes Afreximbank providing credit risk guarantees and project preparatory support to strengthen the gas sector. The partnership with MDGIF is expected to unlock investments in gas infrastructure, creating pipeline projects and LNG facilities.

This collaboration is crucial for Nigeria's gas sector development and aligns with efforts to boost economic growth and industrialization.
