African Airlines Experience 7% Passenger Increase in August 2025

In August 2025, African airlines witnessed a 7.1% year-on-year increase in passenger demand, as per the data released by the International Air Transport Association (IATA). The global passenger demand showed a 4.6% growth compared to August 2024.

Despite economic uncertainties and geopolitical tensions, the aviation sector continues to show resilience, with international traffic being a significant driver of growth. Asia Pacific airlines achieved a 9.8% increase in demand, showcasing a positive trend in the aviation industry.
