Agatha Obiekwugo Appointed Chairman of Afriland Properties

Afriland Properties Plc has appointed Agatha Obiekwugo as the new Chairman of its Board of Directors, succeeding Emmanuel Nnorom, who is retiring after serving as Chairman for more than a decade. Obiekwugo joined the Board in October 2018 as a Non-Executive Director and has participated in various committees, including Finance, Risk and General-Purpose, and Nomination, Audit and Governance.

As Chairman, she will provide strategic oversight as the company expands its real estate portfolio in Nigeria. Obiekwugo has over three decades of experience across banking, commerce, information technology, consulting, and oil and gas.

She is the founder and CEO of Adassa Energy Limited and serves on the boards of Heirs Insurance Brokers and Houce Limited. She is also a founding member of the Women in Energy Network and a member of the Institute of Directors Nigeria.

The Board and Management expressed gratitude to Nnorom for his leadership, with Managing Director/CEO Azubike Emodi acknowledging his significant contributions to the company.
