AFRIMA 2025 Jury Begins Screening Entries As Nomination Deadline Closes

The 2025 Africa Music Awards (AFRIMA) has begun the process of screening entries as the nomination deadline closes on August 8. An international jury of 16 panelists will review thousands of submissions from artists, producers, and creatives across Africa and the diaspora to create the official nominee list.

The theme for this year's edition is "Unstoppable Africa," with a focus on celebrating musical excellence across 40 categories showcasing talent from various regions and genres. The jury, including industry leaders from across the continent, is committed to a fair selection process based on musical quality, originality, impact, and cultural relevance.

Public voting is open on the official AFRIMA website, with the award ceremony set to take place in Lagos and feature a week-long event including the Africa Music Business Summit and live broadcasts in 84 countries worldwide.
