We Take This Job Seriously, Says AFRIMA Juror as Adjudication Begins

The adjudication process for the 2025 edition of the Africa Music Awards (AFRIMA) has begun in Lagos, with a jury comprising members from the African Diaspora in North America. Hadja Kobele, a juror, emphasized the team's commitment to delivering a credible and transparent selection process to meet the highest standards of excellence.

Entries from African artists, songwriters, producers, video directors, DJs, dancers, and more are being reviewed based on merit, originality, impact, and cultural relevance. The jury, which includes respected music executives, cultural experts, journalists, and producers from across Africa and the diaspora, is set to release the AFRIMA 2025 Nominees List on August 24.

Voting will be open from September 5, leading up to the award ceremony on November 30, which will be monitored by global auditing firm PricewaterhouseCoopers. The event will showcase the continent's rich musical diversity and celebrate both established and emerging talent.
