Pastor Enenche Critiques Afrobeats, Urges Positive Music

Dr. Paul Enenche, the Senior Pastor of the Dunamis International Gospel Centre, criticized the Afrobeats genre during the church’s Mid-year Worship concert, claiming it lacks lyrical substance and negatively influences the youth. He described the music of Afrobeats artists as “rubbish” and stated that it promotes harmful behaviors, such as drug use.

Enenche called on Gospel artists to produce more impactful music that resonates with young people to counteract the negative effects of Afrobeats. He announced a youth fire night scheduled for September 25, urging Prinx Emmanuel and other young music ministers to participate.

Enenche emphasized the importance of creating music that conveys positive messages and guides youth in making better life choices, stating that it is essential to provide a meaningful alternative to what he referred to as “garbage” from worldly musicians.
