Rising Afrobeats singer FOLA has gifted his mother a car, fulfilling what he described as the two things she ever asked him for since his music career began. He shared this news on his social media, revealing that her requests were for a church building and a specific car.

This car gift completes a promise that started earlier in his career when he used his first major earnings to buy his mother a piece of land in Ibadan, where she built a church. FOLA has publicly stated that his mother was the first person he thought of after earning money from music.

He has also shared that before his breakthrough, he worked as a Bet9ja cashier in Ibadan, emphasizing how far he has come. His mother consistently believed in his potential and encouraged him to pursue music.

FOLA gained prominence with his single "Alone" and has collaborated with notable artists like Ayra Starr, Wizkid, and BNXN. He is signed to Dangbana Republik and Empire and released his debut studio album "Catharsis" in September 2025.
