Fola Celebrates Success by Fulfilling Mother's Wishes

On September 1, Nigerian Afrobeats singer Fola announced on X that he has fulfilled his mother’s second major request by gifting her a luxury car. This gesture comes after he had previously fulfilled her first request by purchasing land in Ibadan, which she used to build her own church.

Fola recounted that when his music career began to improve, he asked his mother what she desired, and she expressed a wish for a church building and a specific car. He expressed gratitude for being able to fulfill both wishes, stating, “I thank God for keeping this running long enough for me to say I’ve done both things.” Fola's mother was a significant source of support during his early career, encouraging him while he worked as a Bet9ja cashier in Ibadan.
