Trump described the airstrike as a significant military blow and confirmed that Iran has requested dialogue, although he did not specify a timeline for discussions. The airstrike, executed in coordination with Israeli forces, marks a dramatic escalation in tensions between the two countries.

Additionally, Iranian state media reported that Masoud Pezeshkian, the head of the temporary leadership council, is overseeing the country's transitional phase following Khamenei's death. Trump urged Iranian citizens to hold their government accountable in the aftermath of the attack.
