Again, Dangote slashes PMS price

Dangote Industries Limited has announced a reduction in the price of Premium Motor Spirit (PMS) at its refinery, reaffirming its commitment to providing a consistent and uninterrupted supply of petroleum products. The company will also begin distributing Compressed Natural Gas (CNG) for truck fuel across Nigeria from August 15, 2025.

The move has generated mixed reactions in the industry, with some welcoming the price reduction. The Nigerian Labour Congress (NLC) praised Dangote Petroleum Refinery as a transformative national asset that will help bridge the fuel supply gap, create jobs, and boost industrial capacity.

The NLC urged the government to prioritize the sale of crude oil to Dangote Refinery in local currency to lower operational costs and ultimately reduce fuel prices for ordinary Nigerians.
