CAN Raises Alarm Over Terrorist Attack in Agwara, Niger State, Seeks Government Intervention

The Chairman of the Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN) in Niger State, Rev. Bulu Yohanna, has raised an alarm following a fresh terrorist attack in Agwara, Niger State.

The attack, which targeted a missionary church and a police station, occurred early on a Sunday morning. The assailants reportedly set ablaze the church and police facilities before moving towards the Sokonba community near Kabe.

The incident resulted in the burning of properties, abduction of individuals, and loss of lives. Yohanna emphasized the urgent need for enhanced security measures in Agwara, highlighting the collapse of security in the area and the vulnerability of residents to criminal activities.

The situation has led to fear and uncertainty among the populace, with concerns about the escalating security challenges and the absence of a permanent military presence in Agwara.
