AIK's Zadok Yohanna Injured, Misses Super Eagles Call-Up

Zadok Yohanna, an 18-year-old Nigerian footballer playing for AIK, has been sidelined due to an injury sustained during a match against Djurgården on May 10, where he provided an assist before being withdrawn at halftime. AIK confirmed that Yohanna will miss the next two league matches and has blocked his call-up to the Super Eagles for the Unity Cup in London, where he was named in coach Eric Chell's 27-man squad.

AIK's head coach, José Riveiro, stated that the decision to protect the player was made in consultation with the medical team, as they aim to ensure Yohanna's well-being. The player expressed disappointment over the situation, as he was enjoying his performances, which had attracted interest from several European clubs, including Borussia Dortmund, RB Leipzig, Bayer Leverkusen, Chelsea, and Real Madrid.

The Nigeria Football Federation also expressed disappointment regarding the outcome, as they were looking forward to seeing him play.
