Air Peace Co-Pilot Reveals Unstable Approach Incident: Safety Concerns Raised

Co-Pilot David Bernard of Air Peace revealed in an interview with Arise Television that he noticed the captain's unstable approach during a flight incident at Rivers State airport. Bernard advised the captain, but the captain did not listen, leading to a problematic landing on July 13, 2025.

Despite good weather and visibility, the captain manually flew the plane after disconnecting the autopilot at 500 feet, causing a high approach. Bernard urged the captain to initiate a go-around, but the captain landed in the middle of the runway, requiring manual reverse thrust to stop the plane.
