NSIB Releases Preliminary Report on Air Peace Incident at Port Harcourt Airport - Safety Recommendations Issued

The Nigerian Safety Investigation Bureau (NSIB) released a preliminary report on the serious incident involving a Boeing aircraft operated by Air Peace at Port Harcourt Airport on July 13, 2025. The report revealed that the aircraft landed on a long runway in an unstabilized final approach, but all 103 persons on board disembarked safely with no injuries reported.

Initial toxicological tests on the flight crew showed positive results for certain substances, including alcohol and THC. The NSIB emphasized the importance of human performance and safety management in aviation, issuing recommendations based on the findings to enhance safety measures.
