Air Peace Initiates Construction of Aircraft Maintenance Facility, Creating 50,000 Jobs

Air Peace, West Africa's largest airline, has initiated the construction of a Maintenance Repair Overhaul (MRO) facility at Murtala Muhammed International Airport, creating 50,000 job opportunities. The project aims to transform Nigeria's aviation sector, reduce capital flight, and position the country as a regional hub for aircraft maintenance.

The facility, spanning various areas like hangars, workshops, and offices, is a significant step towards ending the airline's reliance on overseas maintenance services. The groundbreaking ceremony was attended by the Minister of Aviation and senior executives from Fidelity Bank.

Air Peace's Chairman, Dr. Allen Onyema, highlighted the airline's resilience and commitment to changing the narrative in the aviation industry.
