Air Peace, United Nigeria Airlines Release New Ticket Prices For Abuja-South East Route

Air Peace and United Nigeria Airlines have released new ticket prices for the Abuja-South East route ahead of the festive season, where airfare hikes are common. Air Peace is charging per economy ticket for flights between Lagos, Abuja, Owerri, Enugu, Anambra, Port Harcourt, and Asaba, with the new fares applying from December 1, 2025, to January 30, 2026.

United Nigeria Airlines' yuletide pricing will start on December 11 and run through December. The fare increases reflect the airlines' need to cover rising costs of aviation fuel, spare parts, and operational expenses, exacerbated by Nigeria's weak economy and high inflation.

Analysts warn that without government intervention to stabilize the exchange rate and offer targeted subsidies, air travel during the festive season may soon become unaffordable for many Nigerians.
