‘Airline Staff will be punished for leaking Video’ – Keyamo reacts to Ibom Air Incident

Minister of Aviation Aerospace Development, Festus Keyamo, condemned the leaking of an indecent video of a passenger, Comfort Emmanson, involved in a disturbance on an Ibom Air flight. Keyamo stated that the act was unacceptable and directed that the staff member responsible for leaking the footage be identified and sanctioned.

The unruly passenger was promptly arraigned in court and remanded in Kirikiri prison. Keyamo emphasized the importance of handling similar incidents with coordination and professionalism, ordering a joint security meeting with relevant agencies to improve security measures.

He also stressed the need for airlines to train and retrain staff in public relations to handle potentially explosive situations. Keyamo urged aggrieved passengers to follow due process and avoid taking matters into their own hands to prevent dire consequences.
