Airtel Africa Reports $6.415bn Revenue Growth in 2026

Airtel Africa announced its financial results for the fiscal year ending March 31, 2026, reporting a revenue of $6.415 billion, which reflects a 24.0% growth in constant currency and a 29.5% increase in reported currency. The company’s customer base expanded by 10.5%, reaching 183.5 million, the highest net addition to date.

Data customers grew by 14.8%, totaling 84.2 million, while smartphone penetration rose by 4.7% to 49.5%. The report indicated robust data demand, with average data usage per customer increasing to 8.9 GB per month from 7.0 GB in the prior period, underpinning a constant currency growth of 16.2%.

Airtel Money also saw a significant increase, with a customer base of 54.1 million, reflecting a 21.3% year-on-year growth. The total processed value (TPV) reached $215 billion.

Chief Executive Officer Sunil Taldar stated that the strong performance is attributed to a commitment to enhancing customer experience and continuous investment in network integration and digitization across the business.
