Airtel Nigeria Launches Smartphone Financing Program to Boost 4G Access

Airtel Nigeria has introduced a smartphone financing program aimed at boosting 4G access and digital inclusion in Nigeria. The initiative, unveiled in Lagos, allows low-income and underserved subscribers to acquire modern smartphones without the burden of full upfront payments.

The program offers the itel A50, a low-cost 4G-enabled device, to improve browsing speeds and overall user experience. Eligible customers can make modest initial payments and complete the balance through weekly installments via Airtel's SmartCash mobile money platform.

Dinesh Balsingh, CEO of Airtel Nigeria, highlighted the company's commitment to bridging the digital divide and promoting financial inclusion.
