Airtel Africa Partners SpaceX to Introduce Starlink's Satellite Service in Nigeria and 13 Other Countries

Airtel Africa has collaborated with SpaceX to bring Starlink's satellite service to Nigeria and 13 other countries, offering direct cell satellite connectivity. The partnership will enable customers to access mobile network services in areas without terrestrial coverage.

This initiative is set to enhance data speeds for smartphones and improve connectivity in remote locations. The deployment is subject to regulatory approvals, with Airtel Africa becoming the first mobile network operator to offer Starlink's direct cell service.
