Aisha Yesufu Criticizes Rivers Assembly Over Impeachment Moves and Electoral Flaws

Aisha Yesufu, a chieftain of the African Democratic Congress (ADC), has criticized the Rivers State House of Assembly for its impeachment moves against Governor Siminalayi Fubara. Yesufu slammed the lawmakers for deviating from their primary responsibility of representing the people and blamed the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) for alleged stiffening of electoral processes.

She pointed out flaws in Nigeria's voter registration system, including entries of deceased persons and ineligible individuals, leading to inflated and inaccurate voter data. Yesufu emphasized the need for a clean and reliable electoral register to ensure true democratic representation in Rivers State.
