Aiyedatiwa Denies Deputy Governor Removal Plans

Governor Lucki Aiyedatiwa of Ondo State publicly denied any plans to remove Deputy Governor Dr. Olayid Adelami.

This denial came after a viral video predicted Adelami's removal, which Aiyedatiwa attributed to individuals seeking attention. Aiyedatiwa, who was sworn in on December 27, 2023, following the death of Governor Rotimi Akeredolu, made these remarks during the inauguration of new road projects in the Akoko South West Local Government Area.

He described the road construction and rehabilitation projects as a significant milestone in his administration's efforts to enhance infrastructure and improve citizens' lives. The projects include the approximately six-kilometer Aiyegun-Iwaro Oka road and other roads aimed at stimulating commerce and reducing travel time within the region.

Aiyedatiwa expressed gratitude for the achievements made within a short period since taking office and reaffirmed his commitment to delivering quality infrastructure to the people.
