Ajayi Elebire Camp Selects 40 Players for Basketball Training

The Ajayi Elebire Elite Basketball Camp has selected 40 players from a pool of 120 hopefuls during a screening exercise held at the Ilupeju basketball court in Lagos on October 20. The selected players will attend a three-day camp in Ado-Ekiti, Ekiti State, from October 21 to 23, where 10 players are expected to receive scholarships.

The camp, founded by former international basketball player Olalekan Ajayi in honor of his late father, Babatunde Elebire Ajayi, aims to identify promising basketball talents and instill values such as discipline and good citizenship. Participation is free, with the organizers providing accommodation, meals, transportation, basketball equipment, and footwear.

Former national team coach Scott Nnaji praised the initiative for its role in grassroots basketball development, while scout Scott Adubato noted the hard work of the talented players. The camp will conclude with an All-Stars game on October 23, and participants are expected to depart on October 24.
