Akada Children Book Festival Promotes Reading Culture and Indigenous Authors

The Akada Children Book Festival (ACBF) in Nigeria aims to promote a reading culture and showcase indigenous authors. The festival, now in its seventh edition, will be held on October 25 at the UPBEAT Recreation Centre in Lekki, Lagos.

ACBF focuses on nurturing a love for reading among children and providing a platform for indigenous authors to share diverse stories. The theme for this year's festival is "Book Adventure," encouraging young readers to explore knowledge, culture, and imagination through books.

The event will feature book readings, chats, story time, exhibitions, chess tournaments, and workshops for parents, teachers, writers, illustrators, and publishers.
