Akada Book Festival Draws Over 2,000 Children to Promote Reading Habits

The Akada Children's Book Festival, in its seventh edition, attracted over 2,000 children from different schools, emphasizing the importance of nurturing reading habits for academic success. Founder Olubunmi Aboderin Talabi highlighted the festival's impact on children's literacy skills, offering activities like painting and storytelling.

The event featured children's book authors like Ogbu Em and received enthusiastic participation from young authors like Asher Onom. Despite financial and logistical challenges, the festival remains a free community event, promoting literacy and creativity among Nigerian youth.
